Let me star off by saying I love me some MJB … Mary J. Blige says she’s working on a fix for her broken charity. The Grammy winner is responding to reports about the lawsuit that was recently filed against the foundation she launched with music producer Steve Stoute several years ago. Blige says as CEO and founder of the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, she is ultimately responsible for anything that goes wrong. She tells TMZ that she “didn’t have the right people in the right places doing the right things.” She’s paying the price as a result. Blige says they’re fixing the problem with a new team of experts on board to help get FFAWN back on track.

It was reported earlier in the week that FFAWN was facing two lawsuits — one from a group of musicians who say they were not paid for their services and another from TD Bank, which says FFAWN defaulted on a 250-thousand-dollar loan. Blige and Stoute launched the foundation in 2007 to support education goals and career development for women.
